As we begin a New Year we reflect on treatments that are most commonly requested by our clients to provide a more rejuvenated appearance to the skin. We often speak of the 3 D’s of aging...deterioration, deflation and decent of our tissue. As a practicising dermatologist, I find the four most common areas of aesthetic concern for most people are the creases and folds that appear as below:

(a) frown lines between the eyes - glabella area

(b) depressions that develop under the eyes - tear troughs

(c) crease that appears between the nose and the corner of the upper lip - nasolabial lines

(d) downturn crease that appears at the corners of the lips - the marionette lines
